Texas summers are HOT. It can be fun to find a place to splash and play in the water, but some times we all really just want to stay in and enjoy some A/C. Luckily, this doesn’t mean keeping the kids at home all day to watch TV and play video games. There are plenty of places to take your kids for some indoor fun. One place that we enjoy is the Crayola Experience at The Shops at Willow Bend. Our kids love to draw and color. They had so much fun exploring all of the different activities the venue had to offer.
There are multiple playgrounds for children of different ages, so feel free to bring your toddlers too! When the kids are tired of climbing the jungle gyms, there are plenty of other stations that allow them to explore their creative sides. Between the coloring stations, the wax melting, painting tables, and modelling clay vending machines, there are lots of ways to get artistic. They even have custom crayon labelling machines, so you can take home a personalized souvenir of your visit.
But wait, there’s more! If your kids are tired of getting their hands dirty, they can also play games and take silly selfies in a number of tablets and touch terminals spread around the area. There is even a small arcade where you can win tickets to trade in for Crayola branded goodies. You’ll also want to make sure you set aside some time to watch the crayon factory show. There are multiple viewings, so don’t worry if you miss one!
All of these things are included in the price of admission, so you don’t need to worry about spending too much either. However, if you happen to be in a spendy mood, there is a gift shop that you can peruse on your way out.
